How It All Started

Dips and Drips began as a personal journey of health. My name is Jeremy Schmalfeldt and for years, I struggled with back pain that impacted nearly every aspect of my life. Traditional methods only took me so far, and I found myself searching for something different—something deeper. That’s when an old friend introduced me to the world of contrast therapy. Inspired by the techniques of Wim Hof, I began experimenting with breath work, sauna and ice baths. What started as a simple quest for relief became a transformative experience, both physically and mentally.

As I saw the profound benefits in my own life, I couldn’t help but imagine the impact this practice could have on others. The idea of Dips and Drips was born not just from a desire to heal, but from a vision of creating a space where people could connect, grow, and thrive together.

This vision began to take shape through the support and collaboration of incredible individuals. Weekly gatherings with close friends during our Hot Prayer Nights (HPN) became a catalyst for expansion. These evenings were about more than just prayer—they became a space for vulnerability, encouragement, and spiritual growth. The bonds we formed there inspired me to dream bigger. HPN showed me the power of combining wellness with community, and it continues to be a cornerstone of our mission today.

From Personal Practice to Community Connection

Dips and Drips officially came to life with the support of my partners, Mike Brucato and Jonathan Simonji. Together, we share a passion for health and wellness, but more importantly, we’re driven by a desire to create something unique for the North Shore Oahu community. Our goal is to bring contrast therapy—and the culture of intentional living it fosters—to a wider audience.

Mike, Jonathan, and I saw an opportunity to provide something that was missing: a wellness initiative rooted in connection, collaboration, and faith. We wanted to offer more than just saunas and ice baths; we wanted to create a movement. By combining physical restoration with spiritual refreshing, we hope to inspire others to prioritize holistic health in their lives. We believe this is not just a business—it’s a culture-changing venture.

Where We’re Headed

Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand our reach and deepen our impact. We’re actively working to establish a fixed location across the farm where Harbor North Shore Church is located. This space will not only offer contrast therapy sessions but will also serve as a hub for connection, education, and growth. With plans to beautify the area—including a deck, furnishings, and fencing—we aim to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels at home.

Our vision doesn’t stop there. We’re committed to hosting mobile events, partnering with local businesses, and fostering collaborations that align with our values. By combining wellness with community and faith, we hope to inspire a shift in how people approach their health and relationships.

A Vision for Collaboration and Growth

At Dips and Drips, community is everything. That’s why we’ve partnered with talented individuals like Nick Kuchar, whose creativity brought our vision to life with his logo design, and Chris Rose, who has been a key supporter since day one. (Learn more about NICK KUCHAR ART here.)These collaborations remind us of the power of working together to achieve something greater.
